Social housing - untapped potential to drive #change
Last week, Slenky unveiled the ‘Take Your Shot Zone’ in collaboration with the ‘Brent Works Wembley Job Fair’ at Wembley Stadium.
Our aim was to modernise the traditional careers event by transitioning it to a more accessible and sustainable digital format, allowing opportunity seekers to use their mobile devices to connect with employers and businesses offering opportunities.
We also unveiled the latest upgrades to the Slenky platform and app.
We provide homes in many regions
This was one of our first exchanges with the newly-formed Sovereign Network Group (SNG). Slenky already had a pre-existing relationship with Network Homes, who had created Shots on our R&D platforms and assisted when we wanted to convert a floor of their office building into Take Your Shot Studios.
We didn’t know Sovereign yet, but a short call made it clear that post-merger, they understood the scale of their challenge — homes and 1000’s of residents spread across different regions, and the necessity technology to support them.
Interestingly, from the start, SNG touched on one of my favourite subjects. They noted an untapped source of opportunities through an expanded supplier network, and expressed a desire to bring those businesses and their opportunities to mobile engagement as part of their procurement or social value commitment.
This focus on leveraging technology and mobile platforms aligns perfectly with Slenky's vision for modernising and streamlining the way opportunities are shared and accessed
Elliott and Ciara joined the team in the Take your Shot Zone, getting the process of familiarising opportunity seekers with the new organisation, and its’ employment and training offer.
